Wary Of China's BRI Debt Trap Strategy, Thailand Halts Beijing's Pan-Asia High Speed Rail Link Plan

 China’s dream of building a pan-Asia rail network has come to a screeching halt. Thailand has refused to be a part of China’s rail line project. Bangkok made the decision after terming Beijing’s demands and terms of loans unreasonable. This is the second Thai-Chinese project that has been scrapped in the last few years.
